Privacy policy

What we collect, and why

• Order details — your name, email address, and what you bought — so we can create your access link and provide support.
• Support correspondence — emails you send us, so we can answer them.
• Access records — which purchases belong to which access link, so your library keeps working.

Payments — handled by Hotmart

Checkout and payment are operated by Hotmart, our merchant of record. Your card or payment details go directly to Hotmart and its payment processors; Vigilia never receives, sees, or stores them.

Hotmart processes your payment data under its own privacy policy, available at hotmart.com. From Hotmart we receive only what delivery requires: your name, email, the items purchased, and the order reference.

The reading guide and OpenAI

If you use the reading guide, the answers you give are sent to OpenAI's API to generate each response and the final recommendation. They are sent for that purpose only — OpenAI's API terms do not permit using this data to train their models.

Your conversation is stored in your own browser for up to 7 days so you can resume it. It is not stored on our servers, and closing the guide or clearing your browser data removes it.

What lives in your browser

Small conveniences are stored on your device rather than on our servers. None of it identifies you to us — it exists so the site behaves the way you left it:

• A language cookie, so pages open in the language you chose.
• Your cart, saved locally so it survives a page reload.
• Your guide conversation and its recommendation, for up to 7 days.
• A session flag that stops the guide from reopening after you close it.

Emails

We send transactional email only: your access link after a purchase, and replies to messages you send us. Delivery emails are sent through Resend, our email provider, which processes your address for that purpose. We do not send marketing email unless you separately ask for it, and there is no newsletter you were silently added to.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled, we use PostHog on European servers to understand aggregate store usage — which pages are read, where checkouts stop. We look at patterns, not people, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.

Our analytics are cookieless: no cookie is set, nothing is stored in your browser, no profile is built, your IP address is not collected, no session is recorded, and Do Not Track is respected. Nothing we measure survives the closing of your tab.

How long we keep things

• Access records: for as long as the product promise requires — your library is meant to keep working.
• Order and support emails: as long as needed for support and legal obligations.
• Guide conversations: never on our servers; up to 7 days in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it — email support@vigilia.shop from the address you used at checkout. Deleting your data may disable your access link, and we will tell you before that happens. For payment data, Hotmart is the controller and honors the same rights under its own policy.

Children

The store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the content is not directed at them.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top reflects the current version. We will never quietly start collecting more than this page says.
